2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
rezoning for land use'and development in
3 the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of
certain property originally zoned by the
4 City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as
amended, as MA (industrial -Agricultural)
5 zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.
6 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City
7 of Kent by. Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
8 Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
9 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and
10 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
11 certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of
12 said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960,
13 and
14 WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
15 the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing
16 before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it
17 was recommended that said land be rezoned from MA (Industrial -
18 Agricultural) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone, and
19
WHEREAS,
thereafter
the City Council
of the City of

Kent did, upon the
5th day of
June, 1967, hold
a public hearing

on said recommendation
insofar
as it related to
certain lands,

said public hearing
being held
after proper notice
thereof, NOW

THEREFORE,

THE CITY
COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DO

ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
26 Section 1. The following described land situated in
27 the City of Kent, King County, State of Washington, and pre -
28 sently zoned as MA (Industrial -Agricultural) zone and more
29 particularly described as follows:

1 That portion of Government Lot 3, in Section 25,
Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., and of Gov-
t ernment Lot 2 in Section 24, Township 22 North,
3 Range 4 East, W.M,, described as follows;
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the S.W.
4 Russel Donation Claim No. 41 in Section 25, Town-
ship 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., thence North
5 0045100" West along the West line of said Donation
Claim No. 41, a distance of 525.5 feet to.an iron
6 pipe set on the West line of said Donation Claim;
7 thence North 89015100" West 525 feet tothe
Northwest corner of a certain tract of land quit
8 claimed to James A. Cavanaugh on April 17, 1894,
by Margaret J. Hayes and P', C. Hayes, her husband;

thence South 8000100" East 376 feet to a point
10 on the North bank of Green River (formerly White.
River), which point is the true point of beginning
11 for this description;
12 thence North 8°00'00" West 1030 feet, more or
less, to the South line of the land of Florence
13 E. and Frances Mullen;
14 thence North 89015100" West to the East bank
15 of Green River (formerly White River),;
thence Southwesterly, Southerly, and South -
16 easterly along and following the meandersof the
said Green River 1800 feet', more or less, to. the
17 true point of beginning LESS that portion conveyed
to the State of'Washington for Primary State Highway
18 No. 5 by deed recorded under Auditor's File No.
19 5958419;
Situate in the City of Kent, County of King,
20 State of Washington.
21 is hereby rezoned to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.
22 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
23 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
24 Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an
25 addendum thereto the zoning of said property as provided for
26 in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
27 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
28 the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent. or upon an
29 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
30 with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the.
31 City Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized
32 and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor

1 of King County and pay the filing fee therefor.
2 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
3 force five days from and after its passage, approval and publica-
4 tion as provided by laws
