HomeMy WebLinkAbout14521 ORDINANCE N0. �tf-�� 2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use'and development in 3 the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of certain property or zoned by the 4 City of Kent by. Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as M-1 (Light .Industrial) zone and 5 R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone to MHR (Mobile Home Residential) zone. 6 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the 7 City.of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning 8 Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City 9 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and 10 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said 11 certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date 12 of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 13 19€-0, and 1.4 WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, 15 the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing 16 before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it 17 was recommended that said land by rezoned from M-1 (Light 10 Industrial) zone and R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone to MHR (Mobile 19 Home Residential) zone, and 20 WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of 21 Kent did, upon the 5th day of June, 1967, hold a public hearing on 22 said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, 23 said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, 24 25 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO 26 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 27 Section 1. The following described land, situated 28 — in the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and 29 30 presently zoned as M-1 (Light Industrial) zone and R-3 (Multiple 31 Dwelling), zone and more particularly described as follows: 32 -1- I That portion of Tract 15 and 161 Supple- mental Plat of Meekerrs First Addition to 2 the Town of Kent, according to plat recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, Page 96, in King County, 3 Washington lying westerly of the .west line of Primary State Highway No. 5 and northerly 4 of the easterly production of the 'north line of the south .134.5 feet of Tract .23 in said 5 plat, together with: that portion of Tract 16 in said plat lying south of the above 6 described main tract and west .of the west line of said highway; also the north 59.5 7 feet of Tract 17 of said plat .lying .west of said highway. 8 is hereby rezoned to MHR (Mobile Home Residential) zone. 9 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City. of Kent be 10 11 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, Or upon an 12 13 addendum thereto the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance. 14 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon 15 the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or upon an 16 17 - addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and 18 19 the City Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized 20 and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and pay the filing fee therefor. 21 Section 4.
