2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning :and
rezoning :for land use and development :in
3 the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of
certain property originally zoned by the .
4 City of Kent by Ordinanee No. 1071, as
amended as R-1 (Single Family Residential
5 Zoning :District) zone .and R-12 (Two -Family
Residential Zoning .District) zone to R-.3
(Multiple Dwel.ling.Zoning District) zone.
7 WHEREAS, .certain land wasoriginally zoned by the City
$ of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
9 Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
10 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and
11 WHEREAS, the effective date. of the zoning of said cer-
12
ta:in land by said Ordinance. No. 1071 and the effective date of said,
13 Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, and
14 WHEREAS, as required by. Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
15 the City. Council, after referral,, study by and a public hearing
16 before the Planning Commission of the City. of Kent, wherein it was`
17 recommended that said land be rezoned from R-1 (Single :Family
18
Residential Zoning .Distric t)..and R-2 (Two -Family Residential Zoning.
19 District) zone to -R-3 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District) zone, and
20 WHEREAS, ,thereafter the. City Council of the City of Kent
22
did, upon the .15th day of May , 1967 hold a public hearing on said
22
recommendation insofar as it related to said .certain lands, said
23
public hearing :being held after proper notice .thereof, NOW,

THEREFORE,
25 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
26
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 The following described land situated in they

City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and presently
29
zoned as R-1 (Single Family Residential Zoning District) zone and
30
R-2 (Two -Family Residential Zoning District) zone and more parti-
cularly described as follows:

(Present R-1 Zoning) The E 1/2 of the NE 1/4
of the .SW 1/4..of 'Sec. 18, Twp. 22 N, Range 5 E,
W.M. , in King :County, Washington , R. 0 4`
1 (Present R-2 Zoning). Govt. Lot 3, Seca 18,
2 Twp. 22 N, Range '5 E., W.M. in King County,
Washington, EXCEPT the N 595.29 ft. thereof;
3 and EXCEPT that portion for drainage ditches
condemned under: King County Superior Court
4 Cause No 32912; ALSO the W 20 ft. of the N
595.29 ft. of said Govt. Lot 3.
5 is hereby rezoned to R-3 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District): zone.
6 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
7 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
8 Comprehensive Planning Map of the City. of Kent or upon an addendum
9 thereto the zo.ning.of said property -as provided for in Section 1 of
10 this Ordinance..
11 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
12 the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an
13 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
14 with, the County. Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City
15 Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and
16 directed- to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King
17 County and pay the filing fee therefor.
