AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and

rezoning for land use and dev:eaopment .in
the City. of Kent :and rezoning a portion of
3 certain property originally zoned.by the
4 City of Kent by Ordinance. No. 10715 as
amended,as R-4_(Hulti.p.le Dwelling ,Zoning
5 District) zone to. C-3 (General -Commercial
Zoning District) zone.

7 WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City
8 of Kent by. Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
9
'Ordinance for he City of Kent, Washington", passed by the City
,t
10 Council on the 15th day of September, 19605 and
11 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said cer-
12' ta:in land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective. date of
13 said Ordinance. No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October,
14 '` 1960, and
15 WHEREAS, as required.by Ordinance. No. 1071, as amended,
16 " th.e City. Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing

"before the Planning Commission of the City.of Kent,.wherein it
18 was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-4.(Multiple
Dwellin Zonin .Distr:ict).zo.ne to C-3 (General Commercial Zoning

21 WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent
22 j€ did, upon the 17th day of April, 1967, hold a public hearing on

23 said recommendation insofar as it related to: said certain lands,,
24 said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW,

15 County and pay the filing fee therefor.
16 Sect -ion 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
17 force five daysfrom and after its passage, approval and publi-
18 cation as provided by law.
