to the City certain lands contiguous thereto.

12 ! WHEREAS, in accordance with. RCW 35.13 of the Laws of
13 1.th.e State of Washington, various proceedings were had, including

15 ;Board of Review as required by RCW 35.13"of the Laws of the State

WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City

18 jof Kent .that said Petition meets the requirements specified by

;law, that procedures from the filing with the City of Kent by the

requisite number of property owners of their notice of intention
to. commence annexation proceedings to and including the co.nsidera
tion of the passage of this Ordinance., meet with.th.e requirements

;specified by law and the lands sought to. be annexed are contiguous;

Section 2. That the property hereby annexed shall
be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
other property within the City of Kent is assessed and taxed, to
ipay for any outstanding general indebtedness of theCity to which
the area was annexed and which was contracted prior to or in
lexistence at the effective date of this annexation.
Section 3. That upon the L day of
11967 the annexation of said property shall become efffective, and
€said property shall become a part of the City of Kent, subject to
fall of the City Laws and Ordinances- then and thereafter in effect,
except as otherwise provided by law.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
22 'fforce five days upon its passage, approval and publication as
23 fiprovided by law.
