ORDINANCE N0.
1 KING COUNTY, WASH,
2 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, annexing
to the City certain lands contiguous thereto:.

4 WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35.13 of the Laws of
5 Ithe State. of Washington, the owners of not less than seventy-five
6 percent in value, according to the assessed valuation for general
1
7 ;taxation, of certain lands situated in King County, Washington,
$ .and more particularly described hereinafter in this Ordinance,
of
9 k'filed with the City Council of the City of Kent their petition in
10 j;writing to have annexed .to said City the said described land, and
11 WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 35.13 of the Laws of
i
12 !;the State of Washington, various proceedings were had, including
13 Ipublic hearings and including the convening and approval of a
14 'Board of Review as required by RCW 35.13 of the Laws of the State
r
15 11of Washington, and

16 WHEREAS, ,it appears to the City Council of the City of
17Kent that .said petition meets the requirements specified by law,
18 s!that procedures from the filing with the City of Kent by the
19
jirequisite number of property owners of their notice of intention
20 t
oto commence annexation proceedings to and including the considera-
22
tion of the passage of this Ordinance, meet with the requirements
22 !"specified by law and the lands sought to be annexed are contiguous=

:to the City of Kent and have not heretofore been incorporated in

24f�or as a City or Town,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,

26'IDO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
27 Section 1. That .there shall be an.nexed.to the City of

dkKent th.efollowing described land, situated. yin the County.of
29'iKing, State of Washington, to -wit:
30 That portionof the N 1/2 of Sec. 29, Twp 22 N,
R 5 E., W.M. described as follows.: Beginning
31ai at the SE corner of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 in
32 said Section, being the true point of beginning

9 assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as
10 other property within the City of Kent is assessed and taxed, to
11 ;pay for any outstanding general indebtedness of the Cityto which

12 ;the area wa.s annexed and which was contracte:d.prior to or in

13 ! existence at the effective date. of this annexation.

Section 3. That upon the � ay _!
1967 the annexation of said property shall become effective, and
;said property -shall become a part of the City of Kent, subject to.

?all of the City Laws and. Ordinances then and thereafter in effect,
except as otherwise provided by law.
Section 4.. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
+force.f ive days from and after its passage, approval and publica-
tion as provided by law. ,r
