AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use and development in the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as C-1 (Neighborhood Business 4 '` Zoning District) zone to C-3 (General e Commercial Zoning District) 5 zone. i . 6WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City 7of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning $ ;Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington", passed by the City 9 ''Council on the 15th day of September, 19602 and 10 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said cer- 11i 11tain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of i 12 ;;said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, {I 13 ,land e I 14;I WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, 15 �p 4 the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing a 16ibefore the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it 17' iwas recommended that said land be rezoned from C-1 (Neighborhood 18 !! !;Business Zoning District) zone to G-3 (General Commercial 19 fj t 20 21 ` i 22 3 23 24 25 a 26 1 1 27 ' Zoning District) zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent did, upon the 16th day of January, 1967, hold a public hearing on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, f, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO «ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: i Section 1. That upon said amendment being shown upon th4 tl jComprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum 19 20 21 22 i 23 24 25 28 27 28 thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City Clerk of Ithe City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to 11record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and pay the filing fee therefor. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage,approval and publicatiol as provided by law.
