O �" � U AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use and development in the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District) zone to MHR (Mobile Home Residential Zoning District) zone. WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, and i WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, P the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing jbefore the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it was recommended that said land be rezoned from C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District) zone to MHR (Mobile Home Residential Zoning District) zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent` did, upon the 19th day of December, 19665 hold a public hearing on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof,:' NOW, THEREFORE, i THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following described land situated in i the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and pre - 1 sently zoned as C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District, zone and more particularly described as follows: -1- 17 zone. 18 Section 2. The City Engineer of theCity of Kent be 19 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the 20 Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendunj 21 ! thereto the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1 22 of this Ordinance. 23 24 25 26 27 it i 28 29 i 30 31 32 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City Clerk of theCity of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and pay the filing fee therefor. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as -2- On Russell Street near Meeker Avenue, the northern 1 300 feet of that portion of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 23, 2 Township 22 N. Range 4 E, W.M. in King County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at 3 the corner common to Section 13, 149 23 and 24, said Township and Range; thence W along the section 4 line between said Section 14 and 23 2001.9 feet 5 to the NE corner of the tract of land conveyed to �— Frances Stewart by deed bearing Auditor's File 6 No. 629612; thence S parallel with the W line of the Thompson Donation Claim, 1359.7 feet to the Ln t1- 7 SE corner of said Frances Stewart tract and the true point of beginning; thence W 1055.2 feet, more g or less, to the E line of the road, 40 feet in width conveyed to King County by deed dated March 71 i 9 1905 and recorded in Vol. 310 of Deeds, at page 514; thence southeasterly along the easterly line 10 of said road 692.3 feet to its intersection with the N line of Meeker Avenue; thence N 88056' E along the N 11 line of Meeker Avenue 805.9 feet, more or less, g to a point 899.9 feet W of the W line of the Thompson 12 Donation Claim and the SW corner of a tract of land conveyed to John T. Stewart by deed bearing 13 Auditor's File No. 629611; thence N parallel with the W line of said Donation Claim, 629.9 feet to 14 the true point of beginning; EXCEPTING land condemned by King County on the N side of Meeker 15 Avenue, 16 ' is hereby rezoned to MHR (Mobile Home Residential Zoning District). 17 zone. 18 Section 2.
