HomeMy WebLinkAbout1407II c1ti�Vti1 ORDINANCE NO.1 1 2 AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and re-oning for land use and development in 3 the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of 4 certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071 as amended, as C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) 5 zone to C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone and M-1 ( Light Industrial 6 Zoning District) zone- ? WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City 8 of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning 9 Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington", passed by the City 10 Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and 11 WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said 12 certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of 13 said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, 14 and 15 WHEREAS, as required by ORdinance No. 1071, as amended, 16 the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing 17 before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it 18 was recommended that said land be rezoned from C-1 (Neighborhood 19 Business Zoning District) zone to C-1 (Neighborhood Business 20 Zoning District) zone and M-1 (Light Industrial Zoning District) 21 22 zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent 23 did, upon the 17th day of October, 1966, hold a public hearing on 24 said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, 25 said public hearing being held after proper notice .thereof, NOW, 26 THEREFORE, 27 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO 28 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 29 Section 1. The following described land situated in 30 the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and pre- 31 sently zoned as C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone -1- 1 2 3 4 6 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 16 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 end more particularly described as follows: The W 60 ft. of the N 120 ft, of the following: That portion of the Henry Adams Donation Claim in King in Sec. 36, Twp. 23 N, Range 4 E, W.M., County, Washington described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said Donation Claim; thence W along the N line thereof 915.75 ft; thence S 30 ft, to the true point of beginning; thence continuing S along the E line of said line of 72nd Ave. So.y660 ft; thence E parallel with the N line of said Donation Claim, 120 ft; thence S 105.55 ft, more or less, to the N right ofway line of So. 182nd St; thence Easterly along said right of way line, 300 ft, to the W right of way line of the Puget Sound Electric Railroad; thence N along said right of way line, to an intersection with a line 150.50 ft. S of and parallel with the N line of said Donation Claim; thence W along said parallel line 360 ft., more or less, to a point 60 ft. E of the E line of 72nd Ave So.; thence N parallel with said E line 120 feet to the S line of S 180th St; thence W along said S line 60 ft. to the true point of beginning; EXCEPT the right of way of S 181st St., is hereby rezoned to C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone, and The following described land situated in the City of Kent, County of King'. State of Washington, and presently zoned as C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone and more particularly described as follows: That portion of the Henry Adams Donation Claim in Sec. 362 Twp. 23 N, Range 4 E, W.M. in King County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said Donation Claim; thence W along the N line thereof 915.75 ft; thence S 30 ft, to the true point of beginning; .thence continuing 660along thence Eline parallelsaid withline of 72nd Ave. So. the N line of said Donation Claim 120 ft; thence S 105.55 ft., more or less, to the N right of way line of S 182nd St; thence Easterly along said right of way line, 300 ft. to the W right of way line of the Puget Sound Electric Railroad; thence N along said right of way line, to an intersection with a line 150.50 ft. Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be and he is hereby authorized and d'irect:ed.tv.indioate:upon .the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent-.or-uponan. addendum thereto the zoning of said property as provided_ifor in Section 1 of this Ordinance, Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed. with the County Auditor of King County,,Wa:shington, and the City Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and pay the filing fee therefor.
