HomeMy WebLinkAbout1406VVal. 4866 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 164 61-1-0,153 ORDINANCE N0. 6L AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use and development in the City of Kent and rezoning a portion of certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as R-1 (Single Family Residential) zone and R-3 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District) zone to C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone and C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District) zone. WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 10712 as amended, entitled "Zoning Ordinance for theCity of Kent, Washington", passed by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 19602 and WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 19609 I and WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, the City Council, after referral, study by and a public hearing before the Planning Commission of theCity of Kent, wherein it was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-1 (Single Family CIResidential) zone and R-3 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District) zone Ilto C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) zone and C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District) zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of theCity of Kent did, upon the 17th day of October, 1966, hold a public hearing on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Range 5 E, W.M. in King County, Washington; EXCEPT the E 300 feet thereof and EXCEPT the N 130 Feet thereof; EXCEPT that portion lying W of the E line of 104th Ave. S.E., as established by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 1018142. ALSO the S 1/2 of the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 17, Twp. 22 N, Range 5 E, W.M., in King County, Washington; EXCEPT the E 30 feet thereof and EXCEPT that portion thereof lying W of the E line of 104th Ave. S.E., as established by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 1018142, lis hereby rezoned to C-1 (Neighborhood Business Zoning District) ozone, and The following described land situated in the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and presently zoned as R-1 (Single Family Residential) zone and R-3 (Multiple Dwelling Zoning District) zone and more particularly described as follows: The North 3/4's of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Sec. 17, Twp. 22 N, Range 5 E, W.M. in King County, Washington; EXCEPT the E 300 ft, thereof and EXCEPT the N 130 ft. thereof; EXCEPT that portion lying W of the E line of 104th Ave. S.E., as established by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 1018142. Range 5 E., W.M., in King County, Washington; EXCEPT the E 30 feet thereof and EXCEPT that portion thereof lying W of the E line of 104th Ave. S.E., as established by deed recorded under Auditorts File No. 1018142; EXCEPT the N 150 feet thereof, is hereby rezoned to C-3 (General Commercial Zoning District) zone. Section 2. That upon said amendment being shown upon to :omprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City',cjerj� of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King County and pay the filing fee therefor. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
