AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning for land use and dev-elopment in the City of .Kent and rezoning a portion of certain property originally zoned by the City of Kent .by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone to. R-4 :(Multiple Dwelling) zone. WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of Kent .by: Ordinance. No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning Ordinance -for the City of. Kent, Washington," passed by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said cer- tain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said Ordinance No. 1071, itself, was the 3rd day of October, 1960, and WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, asamended, the City Council, after.referral, study by and a public hearing before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, wherein it was recommended that said land be rezoned from R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone to R-4 (Multiple Dwelling) zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City.of Kent did, upon the 18th day of July, 1966, hold a public .hearing on said recommendation insofar as it relatedtosaid certain lands, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO (ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following described land situated in the City of Kent, Countycf King, State.of Washington, and pre- sently zoned as R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone and more particularly described as follows: -1- h 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 _ VOL 4820 P&E 31.1 The south 140,feet of the north 365 feet of the east 308 feet of the west .338 feet as measured: 400 feet north.of the above intersection (approximately SE 240th and 104th SE) along the subdivision lines thereof of that portion of th.eeast half of .the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 17,. Township 22 North, Range 5 East of the Willamette Meridian in King County, Washington lying south of th.e .following described lines: Beginning at a•point of the east line of said subdivision which is 702 feet north of the southeast corner thereof; thence westerly along the south line of a tract of land conveyed to Dossie 0. Burton 8 Delta. L. Burton, his wife, by deed recorded under Auditor's File No. 5285548, records of King County, Washington and the. extension of the -said south line :to the west line of said subdivision. is hereby -rezoned to.R-4 (multiple Dwelling) zone Section 2 The City Engi.neer.`of .the City of Kent be d he is. hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the rehensive.Planning Map of .the City of 4ento.or upon an addendum hereto .the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1 f this Ordinance.. Section 3. That .upon said amendment being shown upon Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent .or upon an ddendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed i.th the County: Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City lerk of the City of. Kent be and she is hereby authorized and irected to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King ounty and pay the filing fee therefor. Section 4.
