ORDINANCE NO.
An Ordinance relating to: planning and zoning
for land use'and development in the City of
Kent, Washington, and rezoning a portion of
certain property originally zoned by. the City
by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, as C-1
(n.eighborhood business) zone to C-3'.(g.eneral
commercial) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned b y the City:
of Kent, by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, and entitled "Zoning
Ordinance for the City of Kent,: Washington", passed by the City.
Council on the 15th. day of September, 196.0, and
WHEREAS, the .effective date: of the: zoning of said..certa.in
land by said. Ordinance :1071, as amended, and the effective date.
of said Ordinance 10'71, itself, was the.3rd day of October, 1960,

WHEREAS, as required by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended,
the :City Council, after referral to:the Kent Planning Commission
for.study and a Public hearing, whereafter it was recommended.
that :said land be :rezoned from C-1 (neighborhood business) zone
18 to C-3'(g.eneral commercial) zone, and
19 WHEREAS, thereafter, the City. Council of the City of Kent
20 did, upon the. 18th day of April, 196.6, hold a Public Hearing on
21 said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands,
22 isaid Public Hearing being held after proper notice thereof,

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City:'of Ke.nt,:.

Washington, do ordain as follows:

Section 1. The.following described land, situated in
26
the .City of Kent,: County of King, State: :of Washington, and
27
presently zoned as C-1 (neighborhood business) zone, and more
28
particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the Northwest :corner of the .
30 Northwest 1/4 :of the Southwest 1/4 :of Section
15, Township ;22 North., Range 4 East, W.M.;

Se'cti`on 3. That upon said amendment being shown: upon
Comprehensive Planning Map of the :City of Kent, or upon an
den:dum thereto, the :copy of said map, or addendum, ;shall be
iled with th.e:County Auditor of King County., Washington and
:City Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized
24 and directed to record this Ordinance with.the County Auditor
of King County and pay the :filing fee :therefor.

27 force .from and after its: passage, approval and publication as
28 provided by law.
