,.AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and zoning
for land use and development in the City of
Kent,.Washington, and zoning pursuant to Kent
City Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, certain
land annexed to the City of Kent as unzoned
as C-3 (General Commercial) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land hereinafter described�,as annexed
to the City of Kent, Washington, unzoned, and
WHEREAS, as required by Kent City Ordinance No. 1071,
as amended, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington,
after referral to, study by and public hearing before the Kent
Planning Commission, recommended that said land be zoned as
hereinafter set forth, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did upon
the 10th day of February, 1966, hold a public hearing on said
recommendation insofar as it related to said certain lands, said
public hearing being held after proper notice thereof, NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described real property
situated in the County of King, State of Washington, and pre-
sently unzoned, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northwest
quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 15, Township
22 North, Range 4 East W.M., and running thence South
0138116" East along the West line of said subdivision
838.96 feet to the Northeasterly line of the Kent
Des
Moines Road (State Secondary Highway 5-A); thence
outh
40°28116" East along said Northeasterly line of State
Secondary Highway 5-A, 162.97 feet; thence North 74115"
East to the Easterly line of Primary. State Highway 1
(Seattle Tacoma Freeway) and the true point of begin-
ning for this description; thence continuing North
74115" East to the Westerly line of Old Military Road
as now revised; thence North 26044120" West along the
Westerly line of Old Military Road 163.42 feet; thence
South 74115" West to the Easterly line of Primary State
Highway 1 (Seattle Tacoma Freeway); thence Southerly
along the Easterly line of said Primary State Highway
1 to the true point of beginning.

;G,ta.on;2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum
thereto the zoning of said real property as described in Section
1 above of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an
addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City
Clerk of the City of Kent be and she is hereby authorized and
directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King
County and pay the filing fee therefor.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
