An Ordinance of the City of Kent, Washington,
providing for the condemnation of certain land
necessary to be acquired for the purpose of
providing road right-of-way for public access
for ingress and egress and for the placement
of utilities thereon and thereunder and pro-
viding for the payment of said land.
The City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, do
'ordain as follows:
Section 1. That .the City Attorney for the City of Kent
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase and/or
institute and prosecute to determination in the Superior Court
of the State of Washington, in the County of King, an action in
the name of the City of Kent for condemnation and acquisition
of the following described.land, situated in the County. of King,
State of Washington, for the purpose of obtaining a road for
public access, ingress and egress and for the placements of public
utilities thereon and thereunder in the City of Kent,. to -wit:
The South 30 feet of the SE 1/4 .of the
NE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 22 North, Range
4 EWM, lying between the. East Valley Highway
(PSH # 5) and Northern Pacific Railroad right-
of-way.

The North 30 feet of the NE 1/4 of the
SE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 22 North,
Range 4 EWM, lying between the East Valley
Highway (PSH #5)'and Northern Pacific Railroad
right -of -way.

1/4 of Section 11, Township 22 North, Range
4 EWM,
The East 30 feet of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4
of Section 11, Township 22 North, Range 4 East,
WM. All in King County, Washington.'

1 Section 2. That the acquiring of said land for the
2 purpose herein mentioned is for a public use and necessity.
3 Section 3. Payment for the property herein described
4 to be acquired shall be made from the current expense fund of the
6 City of Kent.
6 Section 4, Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed

7 !as a waiver by the City of Kent of its right to decline,.to take
8 is nd pay for said property after the amount of damages has been
.9 ascertained and within the time allowed by law. '
10 Section 5. This Ordinance shall take. effect and be
11 in force from and after its passage, approval and publication as
12 provided by law,
