AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington,
providing that when the City of Kent receives
any State aid pursuant to Sections 15 through
20 of State of Washington, Senate Bill No. 503,
Chapter 158, Laws of'1965 (State Law Enforce-
ment Officers' Training Commission), it will
adhere to the standards for recruitment and
training established by said Commission.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. It is hereby declared that, upon proper
application by the Kent Chief of Police, and after approval
thereof by the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Kent,
the City of Kent may apply to receive aid from the State of
Washington pursuant to Sections 15 through 20 of State of Wash-
ington, Senate Bill No. 50, Chapter 1582 Laws of 1965; and it is
further declared that the City of Kent, while receiving any such
State aid pursuant to said Act, will adhere to the standards for
recruitment and training established by the Washington Law En-
forcement Officers' Training Commission.
Reet;nn 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
