ORDINANCE NO. !3 11
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent vacating a
portion of a plat known as the Kenthurst
Addition to the City of Kent, Washington.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1965, a proper
Petition was filed with the City of Kent praying for vacation of
a portion of that certain plat known as the Kenthurst Addition to
the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, thereafter, pursuant to properly and timely
published, posted and served Notices, a public hearing on said
Petition was held before the Kent Planning Commission, which
recommended to the Kent City Council that said Petition be granted
and
WHEREAS, thereafter, pursuant to properly and timely
published, posted and served Notices, a public hearing on said
Petition was held before the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Kent on the 2nd day of August, 1965, with all interested
parties being given an opportunity to voice their opinions thereon
and
WHEREAS, after said public hearing the City Council of
the City of Kent found that the granting of said Petition was in
the best interests of all the citizens of the City of Kent and
was consistent with the dominant use now being made of the real
property involved and which surrounds said real property,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described portion of that
certain plat known as the Kenthurst Addition to the City.of Kent,
King County, Washington, and more fully described as follows:
Block 1, Block 25 Block 35 Block 4 LESS Lot
7 thereof, Block 5 and Block 6, of Kenthurst
Addition to the City of Kent, Washington, as
recorded in Volume 57 of Plats, pages 58 and
59, records of King County.Auditor,
is hereby vacated, reserving to the City of Kent, Washington, the

West 30 feet of the East 40 feet of Adams Street within said
portion of said vacated plat to be retained by the City of'Kent
as a utility easement
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Kent<is'hereby
authorized and directed to file this Ordinance in the Office of
the King County Auditor and pay the filing fee therefor.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
