ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and re-
zoning for land use and development in the
City of Kent and rezoning a portion of cer-
tain land originally zoned by the City by
Ordinance No. 10719 as amended, as C-3
(General Commercial) zone to M-1 (Light
Industrial) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City
of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled "Zoning
Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington," passed by the City
Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date
of said Ordinance No. 10719 itself, was the third day of October,
1960, and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.020 of Ordinance
No. 1071, as amended, the City Council, after referral to and
study by the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, recommended
that said land be rezoned from C-3 (General Commercial) zone to
IM -1 (Light Industrial) zone, and
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of
Kent did, upon the 15th day of February, 1965, hold a public hear-
ing on said recommendation insofar as it related to said certain
land, said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof,
11OW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT
11do ordain as follows:
Section 1: The following described land situate in
the City of Kent, County of King, State of Washington, and pre-
sently zoned as C-3 (General Commercial) zone and more par-
ticularly described as follows:
The West 250 feet of Tract Twenty -Eight (28),
Horseshoe Acre Tracts of Kent, according to
the Plat thereof recorded in Volume 15

at Page 10, records of King; County, Washington
Auditor's Office,
be and it is hereby rezoned to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.

1 j Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be
2 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the
3 Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an addendum
4 thereto the zoning of said property as provided for in Section 1
5 of this Ordinance.
6 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
7 the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or upon an
8 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum shall be filed
9 with the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the City
10 Clerk of the City of Kent be and he is hereby authorized and
11 directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of King
12 County.
13 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
14 force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
15 publication as provided by law.
