241�40 by amending Section 3 of Ordinance 875
3 (1954) as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance
961 (1957) as amended by Section 2 of
4 117 Ordinance 1035 (1959) as amended by
Ordinance 1053 (1959).

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT do ordain as

follows:

Section 1. Section 3 of Kent City Ordinance 875 (1954)

as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance 961 (1957) as amended by
9
Section 2 of Ordinance 1035 (1959) as amended by Section 1 of
10
Ordinance 1053 (1959) and which reads as follows:

"Section 1. SCHEDULE OF CHARGES. Rates and charges for
12
sewage service furnished or available for use shall be paid by the
13
recipient of said service and shall be as follows:
14
(a) Within the City limits and within the area therein
15
lying west of the Green River and served, or to be served by the
16
new facility as provided for in plan and system Ordinance No. 1022
17
of said City.

and fifty cents ($3.50) for each single family; provided that

where a part of the premises served are used for a separate family,
21
or families and no rental for said use is charged or paid, no
22
additional charge shall be made for the extra family, or families.

24 It shall be presumed that rentals are being charged, or paid and
25 the owner of the premises shall file with the Treasurer of the CitN
26 an Affidavit to prove otherwise.
27 (b) Within the City, other than the area subscribed in
28 1 Sub -Section (a) above:
29 I. Residential sewage service. Two Dollars a
30 fifty cents ($2.50) for each single family; provided that where
31 part of the premises served are used for a separate family, or
32 families and no rental for said use is charged or paid, no additi
al charge shall be made for the extra family, or families. It sh

be presumed that rentals are being charged, or paid and the owner
of the premises shall file with the Treasurer of the City an
Affidavit to prove otherwise."
IS REVISED AND AMENDED TO READ as follows:
"Section 1. SCHEDULE OF CHARGES. Rates and charges for
sewage service furnished, or available for use shall be paid by
the recipient of said service and shall be as follows:
(a) Within the City limits and within the area therein
lying west of the Green River and served, or to be served by the
new facility as provided for in plan and system Ordinance No. 1022

I. Residential sewage service. Four Dollars
($4.00) for each single family; provided that where a part of the
premises served are used for a separate family, or families and
no rental for said use is charged, or paid, no additional charge
shall be made for the extra family, or families. It shall be pre-
sumed that rentals are being charged, or paid and the owner of
the premises shall file with the Treasurer of the City an Affidavi-
Ito prove otherwise.
(b) Within the City, other than the area described in
