HomeMy WebLinkAbout1252VOL. 1 2 3 4 5 g 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ORDINANCE iiO. � S An Ordinance relating to planning and rezoning for land, use and development in the City of Kent and rezoning a por- tion of certain land originally zoned by the City by Ordinance No. 1071 as amended as M -A (manufacturing -agricultur- al) to M-1 (light manufacturing) zone WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071 asanended, entitled "Zoning Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington", passed by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960, and WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said Ordinance No. 1071 itself was the 3rd day of October, 1960, and WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.02 of Ordinance No. 1071 as amended, the City Council after referral to and study by the planning commission of the City of Kent, recommended that said land be rezoned from M -A (manufacturing -agricultural) to M-1 (light manufacturing) zone, and WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Kent did upon the 6th day of July, 1964, hold a public hearing on. said recommendation in so far as it related to said certain land said public hearing being held after proper notice thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Kent do ordain as follows: Section 1. The following described land situated in the City of Kent, State of Washington, and presently zoned as M -A (manufacturing -agricultural) zone and mare particularly described as follows: That portion of Block 3, Supplemental Plat of Meeker's First Addition to the Town of Kent, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, at Page 96, in King County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at a monument marking the intersection of Washington Street and Shinn Avenue as shown upon the plat of said Supplemental Plat of Meeker's First Addi- tion to the Town of Kent; thence north 0010' west along the centerline of said Washington Street, 2040JD feet; thence north 89030' west 123.68 feet to the true point of beginning of the tract herein described, said point being on the southerly line of said Block 3; thence continuing north 89030' west 59.82 feet to the VOL PkCF � J northeasterly line of State Highway No. 5-M; thence north 31058' west along said north- easterly line 100.00 feet; thence north 810 15' east 106.23 feet; thence south 4022130" 1 east 101.82 feet to the true point of beginning. 2 be and it is hereby rezoned to ISI-1 (light manufacturing) zone, 3 Section 2. The City Engineer of the City of Kent be 4 and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the 5 comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon an adden- g dum thereto, the zoning of said property as provided for in 7 Section 1 of this Ordinance. 8 Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon the 9 comprehensive planning map of the City of Kent or upon the 10 addendum thereto, the copy of said map or addendum 'shall b� 11 filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington and 12 the City Clerk of the City of Kent be and he is,,hereby authorized 13 and directed to record this Ordinance with the County Auditor of 14 King County. 15 Section 4.
