ORDINANCE I,IO.
AN ORDINAMCE relating to planning and rezoning
for land use and development in the City of
Kent and rezoning a portion of certain land
originally zoned by the Citv by Ordinance No.
1071, as amended, as M -A (Industrial-AQri-
cultural) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.
NIHEREAS, Certain land was originally zoned by the
Citv of Kent by Ordinance Into. 1071, as amended, entitled
"Zoning Ord nande for the City of hent, Washington", passed
by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071, and the effective
date of said Ordinance No. 1071 itself was the 3rd day of
October, 1960; and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.020 of Ordi-
nance No. 1071.1 as amended, the City Council, after referral
to and study by the Planning Commission of the Citv of Kent,
recommendazry, that said land be rezoned from ?'I -A (Industrial -
Agricultural) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone; and
T,�]HEREAS, thereafter the CitV Council of the City of
Kent did, upon the 18th day of May, 19641 hold a public
hearing on said recommendation insofar as they related to
said certain land, said public hearing being held after
n_roper notice thereof; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN as
follows:
Section 1. The followi.nff described land, situated
in the Citv of Kent, County of King, State of T^?ashington,
and *presently zoned as M -A (Ind.ustrial-Agricultural) zone

Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of.
Kent be and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate
upon the Comprehensive Planning Nap of the City of Kent, or
upon an addendum thereto, the zoning of said property as
provided for in Section 1 01_= this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
the Comprehensive Planning ?`Tan of the Citv of Kent or upon an
addendum thereto, the cony of. said Man or addendum shall be
filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washington and

the Cite Clerk of the City of Kent be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the
County Auditor of King County.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval
and publication as provided by Law.
