ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezonin7
for land use and development in the City of
Kent and rezoning a portion of certain land
originally zoned by the City by Ordinance No.
1071, as amended, as R-3 (Multiple Dwelling)
zone to R-4 (Multiple Dwelling) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land was orirrinally zoned by the
Citv of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled
"Zoning Ordinance for the City o:: Kent, G'ashington", passed
by the Citv Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of certain
land by said Ordinance No. 1071 and the effective date of said
Ordinance No. 1071 itself was the 3rd day of October, 1960;
and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.020 of ORDINANCE
No. 1071, as amended, the City Council, after referral to and
study by the Planning? Commission of the City of Kent, recom-
mending that said lands be rezoned from R-3 (Multiple Dwelling)
zone to R-4 (Multiple Dwelling) zone; and
WHEREAS, thereafter the Citv Council of the City of
Kent did, upon the 18th day of May, 1964, hold a public hear-
ing on said recommendation insofar as they related to certain
lands, said. public hearing being held after proper notice
thereof; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN as
follow:
Section 1. The following described land, situated
in the City of Kent, County of King, State of ?rlashington,
and presently zoned as R-3 (Multiple Dwelling) zone, and more
particularly described as follows:
Block 3, and all of
Block 2 of Wa.lmsley's ,Addition to the City of
Kent, as recorded by the King County, T,?ashina-
ton Auditor's office,

be, and it is hereby rezoned to R-4 (Multiple Dwelling) zone.
Section 2. That the City Ennineer of the City of
Kent be and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate
upon the Comprehensive Planning Man of the City of Kent, or
upon an addendum thereto, the zoning of said property as pro-
vided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown upon
the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of. Kent, or upon
an addendum thereto, the copv of said Map or addendum shall
be filed with the County.Auditor of King County, �%Tashington
and the City Clerk of theC'City of Kent 'be and is hereby
authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with the
Auditor of King County.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
