AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and rezoning
for land use and development in the City of
Kent and rezoning a portion of certain land
originally zoned by the City by Ordinance No.
1071, as amended, as M -A (Industrial -Agri-
cultural) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned by the
Citv of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071, as amended, entitled.
"Zonin¢ Ordinance for the Citv of Kent, Washington", passed
by the City Council on the 15th day of September, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071, and the effective
date of said Ordinance No. 1071 itself was the 3rd day of
October, 1960; and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.020 of Ordinance
No. 107.1, as amended., the City Council, after referral to and
study by the Planning Commission of the City of Kent, recom-
mending that said land be rezoned from M -A (Industrial-
Auricultural) zone to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone; and
j,?HEREAS, thereafter the Citv Council of the City of
Kent did, upon the 1.3th day of May, 1964, hold a public
hearin7 on said recommendation insofar as they related to
said certain land, said public hearinj being held after
Droner notice thereof; now, therefore,
.follows:
TT -TE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTT`_' 07 KENT DO ORDAIN as
Section 1. The following described land, situated
in the City of Kent, Countv of King, State of i,Jashington,
and presently zoned as 14-A ( Ind.ustrial-As?ri_cultural ) zone
and more particularly described as follows:

the Easterlv 1070.5 feet of Donation Claim;
also that portion of the South half of Donation

be and it is hereby rezoned to M-1 (Light Industrial) zone.
Section 2. That the Citv En7ineer of the Citv of
Kent be and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate
upon the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or
upon an addendum thereto, the zoning of said property as
provided for in Section 1 of. this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown
upon the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent or
upon an addendum thereto, the copy of said Man or addendum
shall be filed with the County Auditor of King County, Wash-
ington and the City Clerk of the City of Kent lie and he is
hereby authorized and directed to record this Ordinance with
the County Auditor. of King County.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in .force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
