AN ORDINANCE of the Citv of Kent providing
for the condemnation of certain land necess-
ary to be acquired for the purpose of
establishment and extension of Kent Municipal
Sewage collection, treatment, and disposal
facilities and providing for the payment for
said land.
The City Council of the City of Kent do ordain
as follows:
Section 1. That the city attorney for the City
of Kent, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
purchase and or institute and prosecute to determination
in the Superior Court of the State of Washington in the
County of King, an action in the name of the City of Kent
for the condemnation and acquisition of the following
described land situated in the County of King, State of
Washington, for the establishment and extension of sewage
collection, treatment and disposal facilities in the City
of Kent, to wit:
That portion of section 23, township 22
north, range 4 east, W.M., in King County,
Washington, described as follows:
Beginning 2001.9 feet west of the northeast
corner of section 239 township 22 north,
range 4 east, W.M.; thence west 1517.36
feet; thence south 9058' east along the
county road 247.11 feet; thence south 200
35' east along the east line of the County
Road 1154.7 feet; thence east to a point
which point is 500 feet west of a line
drawn south from the point of beginning;
thence north 224 feet; thence east 500 feet;
thence north to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That the acquiring of said land for the
purpose herein mentioned is for a public use and neccess-
ity.
Section 3. The payment for the property herein
described to be acquired shall be made from the City of
Kent Sewer Construction Fund.

Section 4. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be con-
strued as a waiver by the City of Kent of its right to decline
to take and pay for said property after the amount of damages
has been ascertained and within the time allowed by law.
Section S. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force by five (5) days after its passage, approval, and
publication, as provided by law .
