1 AN ORDINANCE pertaining to the payment
of accrued vacation pay upon severance
2 of employment by Kent City Officers and
Employees

The City Council of the City of Kent do ordain as
4
follows:

Section 1. ACCRUED VACATION PAY - PAYMENT UWON

SEVERANCE OF EMPLOYMENT: Officers and employees of the City
7
of Kent whose employment is terminated by their death; re -
8 a
duction in force; resignation; dismissal; or by retirement,
9
and who have accrued vacation leave shall be paid therefor
10
under their contract of employment, or their estate, if they
11
are deceased, or if the employee in the case of voluntary
12
resignation has provided adequate notice of termination.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force

and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal

publication, or printing and posting as required by RCW
16
36.24.220 of the Laws of the.State of Washington.
