1 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent
vacating a certiin alley within the

hereinafter, and which is immediately

5 WHEREAS, the Kent City Council on its own motion
a has initiated proceedings to vacate a certain alley within
7 the Kent City Limits and which is owned in fee by the City
8 of Kent, and which is hereafter more fully described, and
9 WHEREAS, the Kent City Council thereafter on the
10 20th day of May 19639 passed a resolution setting the time
11 and place for hearing on said Petition to Vacate, and it
12 appearing to the Council that due, timely and legal notice
13 of the pendency of said Petition and the time and place for
14 hearing thereon has been given as required by law, and it
15 appearing that said hearing was opened on the date set there -
16 for, to -wit: the 17th day of June, 19639 a day more than
17 twenty (20) days, and less than sixth (60) days, after the
18 adoption of the resolution for hearing, and it further appear -
19 ing that the granting of said Petition for the Vacation of
20 said portion of said alley will not be a menace or inconven-
21 ience to the traveling public, or to any other persons using
22 the streets and alleys in the City of Kent.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
24 Kent do ordain as follows:
25 Section 1: That subject to the reservations set
26 forth in Section 2 hereof, the following described portion of
27 that certain alley which is immediately west of the United
28 States Government Post Office located at 216 West Gowe, Kant,
29 King County, Wa4ington, and more fully described hereafter,
30 is hereby vacated:
31 u:wv"'he East eight ( 8 ) feet of Lots 7, 89 91,
and 10, and the South 20 feet of Lot 8, all
32 in Block 3 of Yessler's First Addition to

the Town of Kent, all located in King
County, Washington.
Section 2. That the City does hereby reserve
unto itself, its successors and assigns, the right to exercise
and grant easements in respect to the vacated land described
in Section 1 hereof, for the construction, repair, and main-
tenance of public utilities and services.
Section 3. That subject to the provisions of
Section 2 hereof, the property hereby vacated shall revert
to and become the property of the abutting owners as by law
provided.
Section 4; This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in full force five (5) days after its passage, approval
and publication as by law provided.
