ORDINANCE NO. .Ll.z..
,AN ORDINANCE relating to planning and
zoning for land use and development in
the City of Kent, and rezoning a portion
of certain land originally zoned by the
City by Ordinance No. 10719 as R-4
(Multiple Dwelling) tone to.C-33 TGeneral
Commercial) zone.
WHEREAS, certain land was originally zoned
by the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1071 of the City, en-
titled "Zoning Ordinance for the City of Kent, Washington',
passed by the City Council on the 19th day of September,
1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of the zoning of said
,certain land by said Ordinance No. 1071, and the effective
date of said Ordinance No. 1071 itself, was the 3rd day of
loctober 1960; and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.04 of
Ordinance No. 10719 the Planning Commission of the City of
Kent conducted a study and made report to the City Council
of the City of Kent recommending that certain of the lands
zoned by said Ordinance No. 1071 be rezoned from an R-4
I(Multiple Dwelling) zone to a C-3 (General Commercial) zone,
I and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did
upon the 15th day of April, 1963, hold a public hearing upon
said recommendations insofar as they related to said certain
lands, said public hearing being held after proper.notice
thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Kent does ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the following described land
situated in the City of Kent, in the County of King, State

of Washington, and presently zoned as R-4 (Multiple Dwelling)
more particularly described as follows:
Lots S, 69 79 89 99 10, and 11 of Block
13 and Lots 129 13, 149 159 169 17 and
18 of Block 149 Washington Central
Improvements First Addition to Kent
be and it is hereby rezoned to "C-3 (General Commercial)".
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of
Kent be and he is hereby authorized and directed to indicate
upon the Comprehensive -Planning Map of the City of Kent, or
on an addendum thereto, the zoning of said property as pro-
vided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That upon said amendment being shown.
on the Comprehensive Planning Map of the City of Kent, or -on
an addendum thereto, a copy of said map or addendum be filed
with ^the County Auditor of King County, Washington, and the
City Clerk of the City of Kent be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to record this ordinance with the County Auditor
of King County.
Section 4,This Ordinance shall take effect and
be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approv-
al and publication as provided by law.
