An Ordinance of the City of Kent
vacating portion of Mountain Avenue
(27th Ave. South), -,--
WHEREAS,
-
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the property abutting the portion
of street sought to be vacated, as hereinafter described, have
petitioned for a vacation thereof, and the City Council of the
City of Kent having on the 4th day of December, 1961, passed a
resolution setting the time and place for hearing on said petition
to vacate, and it appearing to Council that due, timely and legal
notice of the pendency of said petition, and the time and place
for hearing thereon, has been given as required by law, and it
appearing that said hearing was opened on the date set therefor,
to -wit, the 2nd day of January, 1962, a day more than twenty days
and less than sixty days after the adoption of the resolution
for hearing, and it further appearing that the granting of said
petition for the vacation of said portion of street will not be
a menace or inconvenience to the travelling public, or to any
other persons using the streets and alleys in the City of Kent,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN
as follows:
Sdction 1. That the following described portion of the
following described street, to -wit:
That portion of Mountain Ave. (27th Ave. So.)lying between
the north line of Oak St. (5.248th S.) and the north
line projected east, of Lot 14, Blk. 21, Interurban Heihts,
Third Section, as recorded in Volume 17 of Plats, page 7,
Records of King County, Washington,
be and it is hereby vacated.
Section 2. That the portion of said street hereby vacated
shall revert to and become the property of the owners abutting on
time eazi�. side of said street.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
five (5) days after its passage, app al nd public -on as by
