fixing the compensation for City

f Meetings and fixing the salary of
the City Treasurer of the City of
Kent, and amending Section 1. of
Ordinance No. 814 and Section 1.
of Ordinance No. 8j1.
IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT as follows:
Section 1. That Section 1. of Ordinance No. 614, entitled
"An Ordinance of the City of Kent providing for and fixing com-
nsation for City Councilmen for attending Council Meetings,",
ssed September 19, 1949 and approved September 20, 1(49, be and
it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7. of
Chapter 89, Laws of Washington 1961 (R.C.W.35.24.090) each
City Councilman of the City of Kent, as his next elected
term commences, shall be paid the sum of $20.00 for each
meeting attended by said Councilman, provided that no
Councilman shall be paid for attending more than two
council meetings in any one month."
Section 2. That Section 1. of Ordinance No. 851, entitled
"An Ordinance fixing the salary of the City Treasurer of the City
f Kent, and repealing that portion of Section 1. of Ordinance No.
85 in conflict therewith", passed September 15, 1952, and approved!
eptember 16, 1952, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. The salary to be paid the City Treasurer of
the City of Kent, beginning with the term commencing on
the first Monday in June, 1962, shall be the sum of
$540.00 per month."
Section 3. That this ordinance shall tale effect and be
n full force from and after its passage, approval an_d-,publication
s by law provided.
