An Ordinance of the City of Kent vacating
a portion of street
WHEREA , the'. Gity Council of the City of Kent did on the
3rd day of July, 1961, declare its intention to vacate a portion '
of James Street in the City of Kent, and did set a time and place
for hearing on said resolution of intention, and it now appearing
to the City Council that due, timely and legal notice of the
pendency of said resolution of intention to vacate has been given
as required by law, and it appearing that the vacation of the
portion of said street will not be'-a'menace or inconvenience to the

travelling public or to any other persons using the streets and
alleys in the City of Kent,

NOW, THEREFORE, the City 'Council of the City of Kent do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the following described portion of James
Street, to -wit:
Beginning at the South Quarter corner of Section 18,
Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., and run
thence North along the centerline of said Section 18,
30.0 feet to the true point of beginning for this
description; thence West, parallel to the True South line
of the Southwest quarter of said Section 18, to the East
line of Hazel Street extended South; thence North along
said East line extended 5.54 feet; thence East, in a straight
line to the true point of beginning. EXCEPTING those portions
of the above described parcel lying within dedicated Hilltop
Ave. and Alvord Ave.,
be and it is hereby vacated.
Section 2. That the portion of said street hereby vacated
of
shall revert to and become the property of the owners/abutting
property, as by law provided.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force five (5) days after its passage, approval andpubliation,
as by law pr ,vided .
