An Ordinance related to planning and
zoning for land use and development
in the City of Kent, and zoning certain
land annexed to.the City "Single Family.
Residential District (R1)"
WHEREAS, certain land in this ordinance hereinafter described
was annexed to the City of Kent by Ordinance No. 1078 of the
City, entitled "An Ordinance of the City of Kent annexing to
said City certain lands contiguous thereto", passed by the
City Council on the 21st day of November, 1-960, and approved
by the Mayor on the 22nd day of November, 1960; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of said annexation was the 1st
day of December, 1960; and
WHEREAS, said annexation ordinance was passed and said annexa-
tion become effective after the effective date of Ordinance
No. 1071 of the City of Kent, known -as the "Zoning Ordinance";
and
WHEREAS, as required by Section 10.16.04 of Ordinance No. 1071,
the Planning Commission of the City of Kent conducted a study and
made a report to the City Council of the City of Kent recommendiq
that the land annexed in said Ordinance No. 1078 be zoned as
single family residential district (Rl);and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent did upon the
15th day of May, 1961, hold a public hearing upon said proposal
to zone said annexed area, said public hearing being held after
Proper public notice thereof; now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That the following described land, annexed to the
City of Kent by the terms of Ordinance No. 1078 of said City,
be and it is hereby zoned for single family residential district
(Rl):
In the County of King, State of Washington:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Section 27, Township
22 north, range 4 East, W.M., thence south along the east
line of said Section 27 to the northeast corner of the southeas

quarter of said Section 27; thence west along the north line
of the said southeast quarter to the center line of the
Star Lake -Lake Fenwick Rd.; thence southerly along the center
line of the Star Lake -Lake Fenwick Rd. to the south line
of Section 27, Township 22 north, Range 4 East W.M.; thence
west along the south line of said Section 27 to -the southwest
corner of the southeast quarter of said Section 27; thence
north along the west line of said southeast quarter to the
southeast corner of the northeast qua^ter of the southwest
quarter of Section 27, Township.22 North, Range 4 East W.M.:
thence west along the south line of the northeast quarter of
said southwest quarter to the northwest quarter of said southwes
quarter of the southwest qurner of the northwest quarter of said
southwest quarter; thence north along the west line of said
southwest quarter to the northwest corner thereof; thence
east along the north line of the southwest quarter and the
north line of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter
of said Section 27 to the southwest corner of the southeast l
quarter of the northeast quarter of said section 27; thence f
north along the west line of the said southeast quarter of the
northeast quarter to the northwest corner thereof; thence west
along the south line of the northwest quarter of the northeast
quarter of said section 27 to the southwest corner thereof; thenei
north along the west line of the said northwest quarter of the
northeast quarter to the center line of the REith Road; thence
northerly along the center line of R ith Road to the ncLth
!line of said Section 27; thence eastalongthe north line of
Section 27 to the point of beginning, OR the north one-half
of the southwest quarter of Section 27, Township 22 north,,
!Range 4 East, W.M;ALSO the west one-half cf the southeast
,quarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 4 East W.M. j
jiALSO: that portion of the southeast quarter of the southeast
Iquarter of Section 27, Township 22 north, Range 4 East, W.M.,
flying west of the Star Lake - Lake Fenwick Road; ALSO the west
lone -half of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of
Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; ALSO that
;portion of the east one-half of the northeast quarter of the
�Isoutheast quarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 4 E.
jW.M. lying west of the center line of the Star Lake -Lake Fenwick
ird.;also known as Lots 25 through 54, inclusive, Lake Fenwick i
!Tracts, unrecorded; ALSO: the east one-half of the northeast
�jquarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M.;
iALSO: that portion of the northwest quarter of the northeast
('quarter of Section 27, Township 22 North, Range 4 East W.M.,
lying east of the Reith Road; ALSO any street included within
the body of this annexation, but not specifically described.

Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Kent be and

is hereby authorized and directed to indicate upon the Compre-
'Pensive 131anning Map of the City of Kent the zoning of said
27
property as Single Family Residential District (R1).

Section 3. Tht upon said amendment being shown upon the
29
Comprehensive Planning Map of the City, a copy of said map be
30
filed with the County Auditor of King County, Washingtn; and
31
',the City Clerk of the City of Kent be and he is hereby authorized

and directed to record this ordinance with the County Auditor
of King County.
