An Ordinance of the City of Kent annexing
to said city certain c t
lands contiguous thereto.
of WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75% in value, according
,to
a
the assessed valuation for general taxation of certain lands
'situated
in King County, Washington, and more particularly in

'this ordinance hereinafter described, have filed with the City

bouncil of the City of Kent their petition in writing to have

nnexed to said City said desoribed land, and

1WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent, on the `26th

of February, 1961, fixed a time and place for public hearing

p petition, to-wit, the City Council Chambe^,of the

City of Kent, on the RQfia day of March, 1961, of which hearing

idue notice was published and posted in the manner and'form and

,for the time required by law, and

WHEREAS, upon said public hearing the ,6j day of March, it

;appeared to the City Council that the said petition meets the

!requirements specified by law and the land sought to be

!annexed is contiguous to the City of Kent and has not heretofore

lbeen incorporated in or as a city or town,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT DO ORDAIN

as follows: I

1, Section 1, That there shall be annexed to the City of Kent

the following described land situated in the County of King,

of Washington, to-wit:

i ALSO: That portion of the northwest quarter of Sec. 22,

Township 22 north, Range 4 East, W.M., lying west of the
center line of 36th Ave. South (Military Road); EXCEPT

center line of SSH 56A and west of the center line of

beginning at the SW corner of the NW quarter of Sec. 22,
Township 22 north,.Range 4 east, W.M.; thence North along
the west line of said NW quarter to the NW corner thereof;
thence continuing North along the West line of the SW quarter
of Section 15, Township 22 North, Range 4* 'East, W.M. to
the center line.of SSH 5-A; thence easterly along the center
line of said SSH 5-4_to the center line of 36th Ave. South
(Military Road); thence South along the center line of
36th Ave. South to the South line of the NW quarter of
Section 22, Township 22 North, Range 4 East W.M.; thence
west along said south line to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That upon the qday of , 1961, the
annexation of the said property shall be effective and the said
roperty shall become a part of the City of Kent, subject to all
'the City laws and ordinances then and thereafter in effect except
as otherwise provided by law.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in

;force five (5) days after its passage, approval and publication
as by law provided.,;
