AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating.,land
use and developement and amending Section 10.6.01
of the Zoning Ordinance (No. 1Q7 ) so as to
authorize the Board of Adjustment to permit in
certain cases the installation of service stations
as conditional exceptions in a C-1 Zo}1i.ng District.
THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF KE[VT DO URDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Section 10.6.01 of the Kent Zoning Ordinance (No. lam)
lis hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 10.6.01. C-1 ZONING DISTRICT -CONDITIONAL EXCEPTIONS. The
conditional exceptions which may be authorized by the Board of Adjust-
ment in a C-1 Zoning District are as follows:
(1) Any use.determined to be of the same general character as the
principal uses permitted outright in this district.
(2) Automobile service station, (but not including ground
storage for vehicles, U -Rent trailers.or trucks, or
similar equipment for sale or hire,) when built as a
part of an existing shopping center, or when built as
a part of and at the same time as a shopping center.
In no event shall such a service station be permitted

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force five
(5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as by law
