An Ordinance of the City of Kent vacating
a portion of Clark Street.
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the property abutting the por-
;ion of the street sought to be vacated as hereinafter described
nave petitioned for vacation thereof, and the City Council of the
3ity of Kent, having on the 15th day of February, 1960, passed
a resolution setting the time and place for hearing on said peti-
;ion to vacate, and it appearing to the Council that due, timely
and legal notice of the pendency of said petition, and the time
and place for hevring thereon has been given as required by law,
and it appearing that said hearing was opened on the date set
refor, to -wit, the 21st day of March, 1960, a day more than
wenty (20) days and less than sixty (60) days after the adoption
f the resolution for hearing, and it further appearing that the
ranting of said petition for the vacation of said portion of said
treet will not be a menace or inconvenience to the travelling
blic, or to any other persons using the streets and alleys in
City of Kent,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Kent do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the following described portion of Clark
street is hereby vacated:
That portion of Clark Street in Washington Central
Improvement Company's Knob Hill Addition west of and adjecent
to lots 1 and 2, Block "B", described as follows:
Beginning at a point in,the Westerly line of Block "B" of
Washington Central Improvement Company's Knob Hill Addition
to Kent, said point being 44.31 feet Northeasterly from the
Southwest corner of said Block "B", and run thence Sodh-
westerly along the westerly line of said Block "B", 44.31
feet to the southwest corner thereof; thence Southwesterly on
a deflection angle to the right of 17015'38", 53.26 feet to
a point in the centerline of Vacated Tacoma Street, said
point being 121.00 feet West of the West line of Kensington
Ave.; thence Northeasterly, on a deflection angle to the right
of 170051'03", on a straight line between said point on
centerline of Vacated Tacoma Street and northwest corner
of the south 17 feet of Lot 1, said Block " B", a distance of
91.91 feet; thence on a deflection angle to the right of
26001'30", 5.05 feet, to the point of beginning.
Secton 2. That said property hereby vacated shall revert
and become the property of the abutting owners, as by law pro-
ided.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full
