AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, establishing "No Parking Zones"
within the City; and repealing Ordinance 2083
of the City of Kent.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. NO PARKING ZONES. At such time as the
Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs, it
shall be illegal to park any motor or other vehicle at any time

it on the following roadways or portions thereof:
1. East Valley Highway (Central Avenue)

ii a) From the Green River to South 212th

Street (both sides) .
b) From South 192nd Street to a point
160 feet south of South 196th Street
(both sides) .

2. Meeker Street
a) From Fourth Avenue to the West

Road to a point 806 feet west of
Russell Road (north side only).
3. Smith Street
a) From Railroad Avenue to Central

to a point 460 feet west of 108th Avenue

7. SR99 (Pacific Highway South) - from a
point 1630 feet south of the intersection

9. East Titus Street

line of Reiten Road (southeast

10. 30th Avenue South - from Kent -Des Moines
Road to South 240th Street (west side
only) .
11. South 240th Street
a) From 30th Avenue South to Pacific
Highway South (north side only).
b) From 27th Avenue South to Pacific
Highway South (south side only).
Section 2. COMPLIANCE WITH STATE LAW. The Traffic
Engineer is hereby directed to obtain from the Washington State
Highway Commission approval and ratification of any "No Parking
Zone" where required to do so by RCW 47.24.020.
Section 3. PENALTY. Violations of this Ordinance
shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Two Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($250) .
Section 4. Ordinance 2083 of the City of Kent is here-
by repealed in its entirety.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
II publication as provided by law.
