AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, repealing Ordinance 1908 which
created the Board of Park Commissioners.
WHEREAS the City of Kent Board of Park Commissioners
was created by Ordinance 1568 of the City of Kent, adopted Jan-
uary 6, 1969, and
WHEREAS the duties and responsibilities of the Board
of Park Commissioners were further clarified by Ordinance 1908,
adopted April 21, 1975, and
WHEREAS the City Council operates under a committee
system and it has been determined that functions heretofore per-
formed by the Board of Park Commissioners can better be performed
by the Parks Committee of the Kent City Council, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Board of Park Commissioners heretofore
created be and the same hereby is abolished.
section 2. Ordinance 1908 be and the same hereby is
repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.-:-)
