ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, providing for the condemnation
of certain property and property rights in
King County for the purpose of widening and
improving 84th Avenue South, a public street
in the City of Kent, and providing for pay-
ment for said land.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
l�HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

of the State of Washington, in the County of King, an action in
the name of the City of Kent for condemnation and acquisition of

jviding for the widening and improving of 84th Avenue South, a pub-

PARCEL 15. (VALLEY ENTERPRISES): That portion
of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter
of Section 1, Township 22 North, Range 4 East,
W.M., King County, Washington, lying south of
South 196th Street and east of 81st Avenue South,
as street and avenue were deeded to the City of
Kent on October 26, 1961 and recorded in Volume
4206 of Deeds, Page 189 under Recording Number
5345763 in King County, Washington; EXCEPT the
south 550.00feet and EXCEPT the north 365.00
feet and EXCEPT portion of State Highway No. 5-A
(East Valley Road)

of the west half of Government Lot 6, Section
6, Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., in
King County, Washington, EXCEPT any portion
thereof lying within Primary State Highway No. 5
(a/k/a East Valley Highway) AND EXCEPT the

south 195.00 feet thereof and EXCEPT the north

PARCEL 51. (CORVI): The west 7.50 feet of the
south 100 feet of the north 200 feet of the
following:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Section 6,
Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M., running;
thence south 89050107" east along the south line
of said Section a distance of 302.4 feet; thence
north 0054155" east a distance of 770.05 feet to
an existing board fence; thence north 89150107"
west along said board fence a distance of 293.4
feet more or less to the west line of said Sec-
tion; thence southerly along said west line of
said Section a distance of 770.05 feet more or
less to the POINT OF BEGINNING; EXCEPT any por-

Section 2. That the acquiring of said land for the
purpose herein mentioned is for a public use and necessit-.
Section 3. Payment for land use herein described to
be acquired shall be made from State of Washington Urban Arterial
Funds, assessments against the properties specially benefited by
the improvement, and from other City of Kent general funds allo-
cated for the purpose.
Section 4. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be con-
strued as a waiver by the City of Kent of its rights to decline
to take and to pay for said land after the amount of damages has
been ascertained and within the time allowed by law.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.,,,
