AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, amending Section 7 of Ordi-
nance 1494 and Section 2.08.28 of the Kent
City Code, relating to salary and benefits
payable to the City Administrator.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7 of Ordinance 1494 codified as

Section 2.088 of the Kent City Code and which reads as follows:
"Section 7. Salary. The salary of the City
Administrator shall be that as established
in the annual budget of the City of Kent."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 7. Salary and Benefits. The salary of
the City Administrator shall be that as estab-
lished in the annual budget of the City of Kent.
With respect to employee benefits, the City Ad-
ministrator shall never receive less by way of
benefits than any other city employee. In the
event, however, that the City elects to enter
into a formal contract of employment with the
City Administrator, the contract may provide
for benefits to the City Administrator which
may be greater than or not otherwise available
to other city employees. To the extent that
the provisions of this Ordinance or any contract
of employment may be in conflict with any of
the provisions of the City of Kent Policies and
Procedures Manual, the provisions of this Ordi-
nance or the terms and conditions of any such
contract of employment shall prevail."

2.08 � of the Kent City Code.
section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
