AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, fixing the tax levy therein for
the year 1979.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. LEVY. There shall be and there is hereby
levied against the property in the City of Kent, Washington, a
municipal tax for the year 1979 for the purpose and in the sums
following, to -wit:
For the Current Expense Fund, for the purpose of pay-
ing the general expenses of the municipal government:
Levy Amount
$3.153 per $1,000
of assessed valuation $2,322,820.40
Amount
City Hall 86,912.00
Fire Department 13,947.00
Library Bond Interest
and Redemption 39,849.00
$ 140,708.00
$2,463,528.40
PROVIDED; that the application of the general levy shall be con-
sistent with and not result in a tax revenue in excess of the
limitation imposed by RCW 84.55.010.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and
effect five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
