ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, vacating a portion of South
233th Street, a certain street within the
city limits of the City of Kent.
WHEREAS a proper application was filed by the City of
Kent for the vacation of a dedicated public street of the City of
Kent, and
WHEREAS thereafter, the Kent City Council did, by res-
olution fix a time when said petition would be heard and deter-
mined by the Kent City Council or a committee thereof, to -wit:
Monday, January 16, 1978, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent, Washington;
and
WHEREAS after the passage of said motion, the City Clerk
of the City of Kent gave twenty (20) days notice of the pendency
of said petition by a written notice posted in three (3) of the
most public places in the City of Kent and a like notice in con-
spicuous places on the street sought to be vacated; said notice
containing the information required therein by the Laws of the
State of Washington and the ordinances of the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS the Kent Planning Director has processed said
petition and secured the technical facts pertinent to the question
of said vacation which includes a sketch of the proposed vacation
and also written approval or rejection thereof by the water, sewer
and street departments of the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS the hearing on said petition was held in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent at 8 o'clock
p.m. on the 16th day of January, 1978, and it appearing further
that the granting of said petition for the vacation of said street
will not be a menace or inconvience to the traveling public or to
any other persons using the streets and alleys of the City of
Kent, Washington,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described street or portion
thereof within the City of Kent, Washington, and which is more
fully described herewith:
A portion of the south half of the SW 1/4 of
Section 13, Township 22 North, Range 4 East,
W.M., in King County, Washington, described
as follows: Beginning at the northwest cor-
ner of Lot 3 of the Western Farmers Replat as
recorded in Volume 101 of Plats, Page 14, re-
cords of King County, thence south 88136125"
east along the north line of said Lot 3, 57.30
feet to the true point of beginning of this
description; thence continuing south 88136'25"
east, 25.06 feet to a point on a curve; thence
on a curve to the left whose center lies north
63°54'24" east, 65 feet, through a central an-
gle of 305°01'38" to the northerly margin of
South 238th Street, as deeded to the City of
Kent by deed recorded under A.F. No. 7409260487;
thence north 88036125" west along the north mar-
gin of said South 238th Street, 25.06 feet; thence
on a curve to the right whose center lies south
63154124" west, 65 feet, through a central an-
gle of 54°58'22" to the true point of beginning.

Section 2. No vested rights shall be affected by the
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by
