ORDINANCE NO. _�A%
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, vacating a certain street within the
city limits of the City of Kent.
WHEREAS a proper application was filed by the City of
Kent for the vacation of a dedicated public street of the City of
Kent, and
WHEREAS thereafter, the Kent City Council did, by
resolution fix a time when said petition would be heard and deter-
mined by the Kent City Council or a committee thereof, to -wit:
Monday, January 16, 1978, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent, Washington;
and
WHEREAS after the passage of said motion, the City
Clerk of the City of Kent gave twenty (20) days notice of the
pendency of said petition by a written notice posted in three (3)
of the most public places in the City of Kent and a like notice
in conspicuous places on the street sought to be vacated; said
notice containing the information required therein by the Laws of
the State of Washington and the ordinances of the City of Kent;
and
WHEREAS the Kent Planning Director has processed said
petition and secured the technical facts pertinent to the question
of said vacation which includes a sketch of the proposed vacation
and also written approval or rejection thereof by the water,
sewer and street departments of the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS the hearing on said petition was held in the
(Council Chambers of the City Hall of the City of Kent at 8:00
o'clock p.m. on the 16th day of January, 1978, and it appearing
further that the granting of said petition for the vacation of
said street will not be a menace or inconvenience to the traveling
public or to any other persons using the streets and alleys of
the City of Kent, Washington,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The following described street within the
City of Kent, Washington, and which is more fully described here-
with:
That portion of South 210th Street (aka O'Brien
Street) in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section
12, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., in
King County, Washington lying between Blocks "A"
and "B", Town of Van, according to plat recorded
in Volume 3 of Plats, page 183 records of King
County, Washington; EXCEPT any portion thereof
lying within 77th Avenue South (aka Front Street)
and EXCEPT any portion thereof lying within the
Northern Pacific Railroad right-of-way.
lis hereby vacated.
Section 2. No vested rights shall be affected by the
provisions of this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law. ,
