AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, creating a fund to be known
as the Kent Commons Construction Fund, and
providing for deposits into and appropria-
tions from said fund.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent, Washing-
ton, has previously determined to construct within the City a
multi -service center to be known as Kent Commons, and
WHEREAS, the City has received funding from the State of
Washington through the Referendum 29 Bond Program to help defray
construction costs of the building, and
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for construction of
the building and the City will be obligated to make progress pay-
ments to the contractor as work progresses, said payments to be
made from the Kent Commons Construction Fund, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO
HEREBY .ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. There is hereby created in the City of Kent
a fund to be known as the Kent Commons�jConstruction Fund.
Section 2. There shall be deposited into the fund mon-
ies received from the State of Washington through the Referendum
29 Bond Program and such other monies as the City Council may
direct.
Section 3. Monies in the fund shall be appropriated for
the purpose of making progress payments to the contractor during
construction of Kent Commons4and for such other purposes in con -

nection with construction of the Kent Commons4as the Council may
direct.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and pub-
lication as provided by law.
