ORDINANCE NO.I173
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent,
Washington, amending Section 5 of Ordi-
nance No. 1811 relating to the penalty
for violating the speed limit laws.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1811 which
reads as follows:
"Section 5. VIOLATIONS. Every person convicted
of a violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of
not more than FIVE HUNDRED (500) DOLLARS or by imprisonment for
not more than six (6) months or by both such fine and impris-
onment."
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 5. VIOLATIONS. Every person convicted
of a violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of
not more than two hundred fifty (250) dollars."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
