AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Washington, establishing parking limi- tations and one-way streets and alleys within the City. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 2. FIFTEEN -MINUTE PARKING ZONES. At such times as the Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs, it shall be illegal to park any motor or other vehicle for an uninterrupted period in excess of fifteen minutes at the following locations: Gowe Street: First two parking stalls east of Fourth Avenue, south side. All stalls between Second Avenue and First alley east of Second Avenue, south side only. Fourth Avenue: Marked stalls between Gowe Street and Titus Street, east side, located off the traveled roadway. Section 1. TWO-HOUR PARKING ZONES. At such times as the Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs, it shall be illegal to park any motor or other vehicle for an uninterrupted period in excess of two hours between the hours of nine a.m. and six p.m. on the following roadways or portions thereof: Harrison Street (Fourth Avenue - Second Avenue) Meeker Street (Fourth Avenue - State Avenue) Gowe Street (Fourth Avenue - State Avenue) Titus Street (Second Avenue - First Avenue) First Avenue (From a point 200 feet north of aMeeker Street - Titus Street) Second Avenue (Harrison Street - Titus Street) Railroad Avenue (Smith Street - Meeker Street, east side only) (Meeker Street - Titus Street) State Avenue (Smith Street - Gowe Street) �61 Provided that this Section shall not apply on Sundays or holidayE Section 2. Fourth Avenue: Marked stalls between Gowe Street and Titus Street, east side, located off the traveled roadway. Section 3. PARKING PROHIBITED FROM 4 A.M. - 7 A.M. At such time as the Traffic Engineer shall place the appropriate sign or signs, it shall be illegal to park any motor or other vehicle between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., except Sundays and holidays, at the following locations: Meeker Street (Fourth Avenue - State Avenue) Gowe Street (Meeker Street - State Avenue) Titus Street (Fourth Avenue - Central Avenue) First Avenue (Smith Street - Titus Street) Second Avenue (Harrison Street - Saar Street) Railroad Avenue (Smith Street - Titus Street) State Avenue (Smith Street - Gowe Street) Section 4. ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS. Upon those streets and parts of streets, and in those alleys hereinafter in this Section described, vehicular traffic shall move only in the indicated direction when signs indicating the direction of traf- fic are erected and maintained at every intersection where move- ment in the opposite direction is prohibited. Name of Street or Alley Direction of Movement (1) The alley between lst & 2nd, North from Titus to Gowe Street (2) The alley between 1st & 2nd, South from Meeker St. to Gowe St. (3) Gowe Street from Sixth Avenue O ?5 South to South Central Avenue East (4) Sixth Avenue, from Meeker South Street to Gowe Street (5) Titus Street from South East Central Avenue to Scenic Way Section 5. PENALTY. Any person violating any section of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con- viction shall be punished by a fine not to exceed two hundred fifty (250) dollars. Section 6.
