HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953ORDINANCE No.Iq <A i� AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington, amending subsection 5 of Section 22 of Ordinance 1776 to require all persons, firms or corporations to obtain a permit from the Kent Water Department prior to tak- ing water from a City hydrant. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, HINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subsection 5 of Section 22 of Ordinance 1776 of the City of Kent, which reads as follows: 11(5) Make any connection by means of a pipe, or otherwise with a water main or water pipe for delivery of water from the City water system to a consumer in such a manner that the water is not first measured by a water meter prior to consumption; or" is hereby amended to read as follows: "(5) Make any connection with a water main, water pipe or fire hydrant for delivery of water from the City water system to a consumer without a permit from the Water De- partment and a means of measuring the quantity of water taken prior to consumption; or" Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
