AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, repealing Ordinances 52, 74, 82, 154,
155, 159, 176, 362, 408, 525, 550, 584, 620,
629, 716, 726, 734, 745, 749, 756, 796, 803,
815, 829, 835, 885, 938, 940, 989, 991, 1039,
1170, 1180, 1257, 1276, 1331, 1579, 1607, 1694,
1838, 1851, 1880, and Section 3 of Ordinance
686, Section 13 of Ordinance 1235 and Sections
6 and 12 of Ordinance 1669.
WHEREAS, many of the Ordinances of the City of Kent
still having legal effect are outdated, ambiguous, redundant,
confusing, unconstitutional, or no longer serve the purpose for
which they were enacted; and
WHEREAS, one of the objectives of the 1975 codification
of the Ordinances of the City of Kent is the elimination of any
unnecessary Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the following Ordinances of the City of Kent
have been deemed unnecessary, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following Ordinances and Sections of
Ordinances of the City of Kent, Washington, are hereby repealed:
52, 74, 82, 154, 155, 159, 176, 362, 408,
525, 550, 584, 620, 629, 716, 726, 734,
745, 749, 756, 796, 803, 815, 829, 835,
885, 938, 940, 989, 991, 1039, 1170, 1180,
1257, 1276, 1331, 1579, 1607, 1694, 1838,
1851, 1880, and Section 3 of Ordinance 686,
Section 13 of Ordinance 1235 and Sections
6 and 12 of Ordinance 1669.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
