ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, repealing Ordinances 825 and 865 of
the City of Kent, and recognizing the Law
Enforcement Officers' and Fire Fighters'
Retirement System established in Chapter
41.26 of the Revised Code of Washington.
WHEREAS, Chapters 41.16, 41.18, 41.20 and 41.24 of the
Revised Code of Washington, relating to Fire Fighters' and Police
Officers' Retirement and Pension funds, remain in effect as to
those persons who qualified under them and yet have been super-
seded by Chapter 41.26 of the Revised Code of Washington, NOW,
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinances 825 and 865 of the City of Kent
are hereby repealed.
Section 2. The City of Kent hereby recognizes the Wash-
ington Law Enforcement Officers' and Fire Fighters' Retirement
System, established in Chapter 41.26 of the Revised Code of Wash-
ington, as it applies to the Kent Fire and Police Departments.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
