AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, relating to traffic speeds, and amend-
ing a portion of Ordinance 1811 so as to in-
crease the speed limit on South Central Avenue
from the intersection of Willis Street to the
Green River Bridge.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 (25) of Ordinance 1811 enacted by
the Kent City Council on the 15th day of January, 1973 and which
reads as follows:
"Name of Street
or portions Speed
affected Limit When
25. South Central Ave-
nue from the inter-
section of Willis
Street to Green
River Bridge 35 MPH At all times"
is hereby -amended to read as follows:
"Name of Street
or portions Speed
affected Limit When
25. South Central Ave-
nue from the inter-
section of Willis
Street to Green
River Bridge 40 MPH At all times"
Section 2. The City Traffic Engineer is herewith direc-
ted to obtain from the Washington State Highway Commission, said
Commission's approval and ratification of the terms of this Ordi-
nance as required by RCW 47.24.020 and to see that proper signs

are posted along the affected portion of said highway, notifying
the public of the increase of said legal speed limit.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication, as provided by law.
