I Vnl - AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington, creating a special fund to be known as the Federal or State Grant Matching Fund; authorizing an initial appropriation to the Fund and providing for future appropriations to the Fund; and authorizing expenditures from the Fund. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. There is hereby created in the City of Kent a special fund to be known as the Federal or State Grant Matching Fund. Section 2. The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide matching funds for any Department of the City to qualify for Fed- eral or State grants for authorized projects. Section 3. There is hereby appropriated to the Fund from unbudgeted, unexpended reserves of the City, the sum of $100,000. Future appropriations to the Fund may be made at such times and in such manner as the City Council may direct. Section 4. Expenditures from the Fund may be made for any purpose requiring matching funds in order to qualify for any Federal or State grant, and for which prior authorization and ap- proval have been granted by the City Council. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
