HomeMy WebLinkAbout1879!q J ORDINANCE NO. � � AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash- ington, making it illegal to park vehicles at all times on either side of Central Avenue South from Willis Street to the Green River, which street forms a part of the State High- way system; directing the City Traffic Engi- neer to obtain ratification and approval of said action from the Washington State High - say Commission; ordering the City Traffic Engineer to supervise placement of appro- priate "No Parking Anytime" signs; and im- posing penalties and fines for violations of the terms of the Ordinance. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. From and after the effective date of this Ordinance, it shall be illegal to park motor or other vehicles at any time on either side of Central Avenue South from Willis Street to the Green River, which street is located within the City Limits and which forms a part of the Washington State Highway system. Section 2. The Traffic Engineer is herewith directed to obtain from the Washington State Highway Commission the Commis- sion's approval and ratification of the terms of this Ordinance as required by RCW 47.24.020. Section 3. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the Traffic Engineer shall supervise the placement of appropriate "No Parking Anytime" signs on said street. Section 4. PENALTIES. Violations of this Ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or by impri- sonment for not more than six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. -1- Section 5.
