AN ORDINANCE of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, prohibiting the parking on East Valley
Highway from South 212th Street to South 228th
Street, providing for placement of "No Parking"
signs, and providing penalties for violations.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance,
it shall be illegal to park motor or other vehicles upon East
Valley Highway, a public highway within the City of Kent, be-
tween South 212th Street and South 228th Street.
Section 2. Upon the effective date of this Ordinance
the Traffic Engineer shall supervise the placement of appropriate
"No Parking Anytime" signs on said street.
Section 3. Violation of the terms of this Ordinance
shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed Five Hundred (500)
Dollars or imprisonment in the Kent City Jail not to exceed six
(6) months or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and
publication as provided by law.
